Thanks for this blog. I particularly appreciate that those running the blog are not anonymous, unlike most of the Vox Nova crowd.

Well you know I am up for that.
While Biden isn't the worst of the pro-abortion Catholics, effectively he still is a pro-abortion Catholic at odds with the truth of his faith. Just like we campaigned against Rudy, let us be effective against Mr. Biden and the abortion radical Obama.
Great blog.

Greetings, Alice -- what's the name of your blog?
I've just posted a link to an illuminating interview with Biden's former bishop, Michael A. Saltarelli. One of the things that he has instituted was praying Litany of St. Thomas More for all Catholic politicians, that they will model the saint in their fidelity to the Church.
Keeping Biden and others in our prayers is the least we could do as fellow Catholics.
Add me please. I just posted about your website on my little blog Aleighanne's Journey http://aleighannejourney.wordpress.com/ thanks again!
Dear Catholics Against Biden:
I oppose Joseph Biden's lie about being Catholic and supporting contraception and abortion and human embryonic stem cell research.
Le's pray for his patron, St. Joseph, to intercede.
I oppose Barack Obama's lie that Joe is a committed Catholic.
Let us pray for Our Blessed Mother's intercession for Barack.
Thank you. God bless you.

Thank you for getting this blog up so fast. I'm heartsick at still another "Catholic" practicing pro-abortion politics. Do keep him in your prayers...and count me, of course, as one who supports your work opposing the election of Mr. Biden (to say nothing of Mr. Obama!)
Thanks again!
Let's please all pray FOR Joe Biden... but remember to vote AGAINST his support of the culture of death.
You're blogrolled over at my blog. Also added Southern Appeal. Keep up the great work, man.
Please add me to the blogroll.
Biden is a fake Catholic who is a pro-abort. He has a 100% rating with NARAL and a o% rating with National Right to Life. Biden voted against criminal penalties for someone attacking a pregnant woman and harming her unborn child during the commission of another crime (March 2004).
Biden voted against notifying parents before underage girls are taken across state lines for an abortion. He also supports Roe V. Wade and voted against Senate confirmation for highly-qualified Republican appointees to the U.S. Supreme Court John Roberts and Samuel Alito.
You can read more in my posts on Catholic Fire. I have been blogging on him since 2005. He is a true culture of death politician who has excommunicated himself from the Catholic Church.
Thanks for developing this blog.
God bless you!
I'll soon be making a post regarding this blog. Please add homebuiltupontherock.blogspot.com to the blog roll. We're definitely Catholics against Joe Biden.

Great to see public square consolidation around the position that "ardent practicing" Catholics can't support abortion, even if they carry a rosary as a good luck charm. Minimally, Senator Biden is against tax-funded abortions. That's not nearly enough. I have already posted several times on Biden at Kicking Over My Traces.
Please add Wheat & Weeds.

Wow, I guess this blog is just for the right wing of the Catholic church.
Believe it or not, there are many good Catholics in this country who believe in women's choice, birth control, ordaining women, and more positions that don't sit well with Rome.
YMMV, but please don't try to speak for an entire faith.
This ought to be a great blog. Any way to sub through Bloglines?
Oh, and if you could add me, that'd be awesome.

Sorry Phil, but that is just NOT the case. One can not be a good Catholic and believe in abortion as a form of birth control. One can mistakenly still think they are Catholic, but that doesn't make them one let alone a good one.
Please add my blog, Kyrie Eleison to the list. I think it is important for people to hear a genuine Catholic voice.

I'm definitely a Catholic against Joe Biden or anyone who openly and explicitly denies Catholic teaching (most especially anyone who claims to be a Catholic).
I'm all in!
It is an oxymoron to be pro-choice and claim to be Catholic. Someone needs to explain that to Biden, Kerry, Kennedy, Pelosi, etc....
A Bishop need to tell them straight out that they will no longer recieve communion while they continue to cause scandal.
Yes, I oppose all pro-abortion politicians, particularly Catholic ones, like Biden, who have no excuse for not knowing and acting better.
I'm definitely against Biden - add me please.
Thanks!
Awesome blog guys!
I'm going to try to spread the word as much as possible.
p.s.:
As you know, unfortunately, my liberal Democrat and "Catholic" senator, Sen. Bob Casey from Scranton, Pa., is speaking at the DNC Tuesday night. He has wholeheartedly endorsed Obama. A few weeks ago, he made a crazy comment to the local press that because Catholics are "diverse," there is no such thing as a Catholic vote. Come again???
Here's his quote:
In The New York Times story, national Democratic Party Chairman Howard Dean suggests a prominent speaking role for Mr. Casey would help Mr. Obama connect with Catholic voters, many of whom oppose abortion.
Mr. Casey downplayed that notion.
“I do think there’s sometimes too much made of what this kind of a question means for Catholic voters or one group of voters versus the other,” he said. “I think Catholic voters are every bit as diverse as every other kind of voter. I don’t think there is a ‘Catholic vote.’ ”
Now's our chance!! Let's prove Sen. Casey wrong and vote down Obama/Biden '08!!
I am really getting fed of with all of these political cafeteria Catholics. Count me in.
I must say... He tends to chap me... Pelosi too (but that's for another forum)... While I am for praying for their conversion, the issues need to be addressed...
Me too!
I need a candidate willing to stand up for what I believe in. Biden is not the guy.
Please consider changing the logo to one that does not include a picture of the Eucharist.
I understand (and probably agree with) the position that Biden should not present himself for communion, and that the bishops should deny pro-choice politicians communion.
But these are separate questions then his fitness to be vice-president, and by mixing the two, you are confirming the worst slanders about politicizing the Eucharist.
We have many tools at our disposal other thant denial of the Eucharist to oppose Biden's candidacy.

Have you noticed that to most Catholic Democrats, political expediency takes precedence over their religion? I have never understood the silence of the Church in this regard.
Absolutely. Biden and Obama are pulling what Democrats do; they lie to the voters and assume that the naive citizens will just believe their bull. Not this time. Abortion is murder plain and simple. Public servants that back it are committing a sin worse then anything because they are convincing people that it is OK to do it when they know differently. It is like talking a naive kid into robbing a bank by telling him its OK.
I'm just "Biden" my time till McCain picks a pro-life Catholic running mate.

First, I appreciate the story that the blog has presented, citing Pope John Paul's words, and Pope Benedict's words. However, as a Catholic, and as a person who has been given the capacity of reason by my Creator, I feel compelled to put forward a few points on this issue, first in the form of questions, then with some answers.
1. What is the proper role of the individual in society with respect to life and / or end of life, and what is life?
The individual should respect all life and should instruct one's family to do the same. The individual should also when appropriate determine when it is appropriate to inform one's children about the reality of the end of physical life and that we should not fear it, but understand that physical death is part of the process of life. Life is often framed within the context of the physical form, when the reality is quite different -- we all have the possibility of infinite life due to our spiritual essence (soul). We talk about physical death as though it is the end of life, when in fact it is not. But if we decide to perceive it as such and allow or facilitate the physical death, we are committing a grave error. Here, though, if we do not perceive the physical death at the end of life, this raises the question, is it appropriate to end the physical life of another? I will argue below that generally it is not appropriate to end the physical life of another.
2. What is the role of laws as are written by mankind in the area of protection of life?
The role of laws as written by mankind in the area of protection of life do not generally serve to protect life even if phrased as such. They serve to punish those who harm and physically kill others, for example, laws which prescribe punishments specific to murder of certain degrees. Yet, in spite of these laws, and in spite of the voluminous quantity of case law which supposedly clarifies and enhances laws on the books, and despite the increasing amount and variety of laws and case decisions, man's evil increases, as does crime on this earth. (Refer also to Daniel and to Revelations..) Man's laws are becoming increasingly oppressive and increasingly evil. It is true that laws are a reflection of society's values. Thus, we must not make the mistake of relying on laws to "protect life."
3. Whose law is more important, man's law or God's law?
God's law is timeless, and is divine, and if we accept Jesus's word to us as a statement of what God hopes for us, we will realize that there is something far more important than the laws of man that we should be concerned with.
4. What does the Bible say about it?
Some examples of how the Bible shows that we are alive in the womb can be found at Luke 1:36 (life conceived in Elizabeth's womb, before it was born, is called "a son."), and "children & sons in womb" Gen 25:21-22; 2 Ki 19:3; Ruth 1:11.
Then it is also said that...
"If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished according as the woman's husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine.
"And if any mischief follow, then thou shalt give life for life, Eye for eye, tooth for tooth . . ."--Ex. 21:22-25
Should we take this to mean that it is alright to kill people? I don't think so. God gives us discretion and asks us to use it wisely. Jesus urges us to love:
'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.' "This is the great and foremost commandment. "And a second is like it, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets." ( Matthew 22:37-40)
"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another." (John 13:34-35)
"But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward in heaven will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for He Himself is kind to ungrateful and evil men." ( Luke 6:35)
I feel that this all shows that we should not be too preoccupied with the physical life form which we temporarily are occupying, but if we want to ask the question of whether or not it is appropriate for Joe Biden to vote against legislation which would limit abortions, I would say that it is more important to observe how Joe Biden (or first, how you) live(s) his (your) life, and questions should be asked of him, or questions should be asked of you by yourself and your peers, have you in your personal lives strived to respect life in all its forms, including its physical stage, regardless of what man's law allows or says?
Do not make the mistake of judging Joe Biden or anyone else because of a stance they may take in favor of letting Roe v. Wade stand. Instead, ask what are the personal characteristics and decisions the individual has made? Has he or members of his family personally ever gone through with ending the physical life of another?
Judge not, lest ye be judged.
-Colin Gallagher

"Pro-Choice" Catholic? I love the following from Revelations, Chapter 3:
"I know your works;
I know that you are neither cold nor hot.
I wish you were either cold or hot.
So, because you are lukewarm, neither hot nor cold,
I will spit you out of my mouth.
For you say, ‘I am rich and affluent and have no need of anything,’
and yet do not realize that you are wretched,
pitiable, poor, blind, and naked."
Keep up the great work!

I am definitely a practicing Catholic and do not understand how anyone who is can support a current Democratic candidate. The Catholics I know who do support Democrats say it is because of the other (not abortion) social issues.
In my opinion those issues also lead me away from the Democrats. I see Democrats create big government and establish systems that are meant to help people but in reality make it harder for people to "pull themselves up by their boot straps" and create a better life for themselves, instead of waiting for the government to help them.
This to me damages peoples basic God given human dignity and prevents them from finding and utilizing their God given talents.
I appreciate your informaton and hope to find it useful in helping to inform my fellow Catholics and non-Catholic friends for this upcoming election.
God Bless!

...great work, gentlemen; as a cradle Catholic, I am continually humbled by the zeal w/ which I see converts to the faith defending and advancing its great cause.
As a citizen of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, I live in a veritable sea of Joe Bidens; Bidens, Bidens everywhere, and not a drop of integrity to admire!!
Other than encouraging you to keep on keepin' on, my only other suggestion would be to try to cajole the Bishop of Wilmington, DE to publicly challenge the Senator the next time he even remotely attempts to don the mantle of Catholicism.
So many of our bishops lack the you-know-what to fight scandal by publicly chastising the powerful, but there are notable exceptions; God willing, maybe Biden's shepherd would be found to be one of them!
Thanks for this blog. I support the McCain-Palin ticket and praise Sarah Palin for choosing life for her son with Downs Syndrome. As an individual who used to counsel women who faced unplanned pregnacies and researched statistics on this issue, far more women choose abortion for selfish reasons than not. There are some young girls who get caught up in the hype of our pro-sex mantra in the media that get sexually involved not giving any thought to the prospect of pregnancy. I am not condoning abortion by any means, but at the same time, I do believe that God can forgive this horrific sin in some cases. Those who solicit themselves to see how many notches they can add to their belt and disgard life as though it were trash and those who are unfaithful to their spouses and rid themselves of the proof of their infidelity, God help them. I keep all in my prayers hoping that God's light on this issue will penetrate their hearts and minds, but for politicians who continue pushing this anti-life agenda, I do not want to see our Holy Church providing funerals for these deceivers because of fiancial contributions they have provided to the church. To do so will only confuse your members into believing that maybe abortion is okay as long as you have the money to buy your way into Heaven.
I heard Biden being interviewed by Tom Brokaw this morning, and once again he tried his sleight of hand on the nation...."As a very religious, believing Roman Catholic I absolutely believe my Church when it tells me that life begins at conception, but I would never impose my faith on anyone else." Are the rest of the Church's teaching on social issues to be equally ignored except somewhere deep down in one's ardently Catholic soul?
Please add me to "Catholics against Joe Biden"! I've got your logo in my sidebar already. :)
While I am for the conversion and sanctification of Sen. Biden, I entirely oppose his candicacy for the vice presidency. Please add me to the list!
I don't see how accepting the teaching of the Church can lead Senator Biden to the actions he has taken. It's a non sequitur.

Please add me as well. Fantastic site. Keep up the good work.
While I agree that Joe Biden is in error when he limits his stand on abortion (and leads others into grave sin ) by saying it is a 'personal view,' let's not forget to pray for him and those who he is leading astray.
May God lead those in public office to a clearer understanding and sincere acceptance of His Will.
I'm a Catholic who supports SARAH PALIN as the next VP. She, while not Catholic herself, embodies more ideals of the Catholic faith than many who call themselves Catholic. I hate to bash other Catholics, but Joe Biden has so totally misrepresented the faith publicly so I feel I can say, even with charity, that I oppose Joe Biden.

Joe Biden is a 'dissident' Catholic and should be referred to
as such. When Biden tells other Catholics it is okay to vote for a pro-abortion candidate, and still be a Catholic in good standing,he is preaching heresy. The Church is very clear: Thou shalt not kill.
Abortion is a grave sin(mortal)and not acceptable for any Catholic to support or vote for a pro-abortion candidate.
JOE BIDEN IS A DISGRACE TO THE CATHOLIC CHURCH.EVERYTHING COMES TO AN END IN THIS WORLD. JOE BIDEN WILL DIE LIKE REST OF US. HE WILL HAVE TO STAND BEFORE THE JUDGEMENT OF GOD AND GIVE AN ACCOUNT OF HIS LIFE BEFORE GOD. MAY GOD HAVE MERCY ON HIM AS HE HAS SHOWN FOR THE UNBORN BABIES.PLEASE MY NAME TO YOUR BLOG.
JOE BINDEN IS A DISGRACE TO THE CATHOLIC CHURCH. HE WILL HAVE TO STAND IN JUDGEMENT BEFORE THE THE JUDGEMENT SEAT OF GOD MAY GOD SHOW HIM THE MERCY HE HAS SHOWN THE MILLIONS OF UNBORN BABIES.
In a post, Phil said: There are many good Catholics who support a woman's right to choose, ordination of women, etc. That's like saying you can be a good husband even if you cheat on your spouse! Supporting life from the time of conception to the time of natural death is the fundamental belief of the Catholic faith. How will you be able to face your creator and profess your love of Jesus while standing in the middle of millions of mutilated unborn babies? You will have your hands covered in blood because you stood there while the innocent helpless babies cried out and not only did you do nothing to save them, you supported this holocaust!
For a great many years now I have referred to Joe Biden as "the Uriah Heep of the Senate" for his pro-abortion position while maintaining the fiction of his Cathlicism.

Thank you. I support your blog/website. Yesterday I was browsing through "so called Catholic" websites that support Obama/Biden campaign, Cathoics for Choice, politicians in congress that are Catholic/pro-choice. Watching Obama on YouTube site with a planned parenthood background. Joe Biden, I never took him seriously on most issues to begin with. By the way, Biden is prohibited from attending any Catholic school speaking in his home diocese in the state of Delaware. This behavior is an in the face rebellion against the Catholic Church under Our Lord Jesus Christ, The Church Magisterium Teaching Authority , The Supreme Pontiff His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI, the Holy See Vatican, the religious and laity worldwide. And for most of the pro-choice politicians, the Catholic Church has a book called the Catechism of the Catholic Church. ISBN 1-57455-110-8. I never went to college and supposedly these people are college graduates if they can still read a book instead of running their mouths all day in hypocrosy to get this book. I'll even help them out. I am a Catholic and member of Knights of Columbus Council 8156, St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church.
I recommend a book " Prolife Answers to Prochoice Agruments" by Randy Alcorn.
As to Joe Biden, his 30 years in the government has gone to his head. There is no justification for Abortion. Just the fact that over 90% of abortions are for convenience purposes, makes it criminal.
Biden, Obama, Pelosi --pray for them to see the Light!

Dear Mr. Biden
Please read Mark 9:42 swimming ain't easy with a millstone around the neck. God's will be done...not mine or yours or any majority of voters. Peter and the Apostolic successors were given authority in matters of morality and faith and it cannot be usurped by Ceasar or Joe or Nancy or Ted or pollsters. Thank God for the current courage and wisdom of the USCCB and The Holy Father. I pray for conversion to a deeper understanding of Christ's will and a corresponding obedience to the teachings of His Church+++
Good for you! I support your blog and will tell others about it! Maybe we should say the Litany of St. Thomas More for Biden...
Joe Biden is not really Catholic, so it's an interesting question. I am so disappointed in my fellow Catholics who support these fake Catholics.
Here's a few of my two cents on this election for Catholics:
Catholic voting for Biden: Stop! He says he's not a John Paul guy. Pelosi says she's a Middle Ages gal. (What's Kennedy's flavor, by the way?)
Catholics crave voting for Democrats because they promise to help little guys and spread wealth to the poor. Sounds good, but it will be wrong. They never do it anyway, and socialism doesn't work if they did.
Of all the elections in my life, this is the one with the most serious Catholic moral issues at stake.
I DON"T WANT TO PAY FOR ABORTIONS! This evil will be laid on our heads if Barack Hussein Obama is elected president. This is true if he can fulfill any of the incredible promises he has made.
In a speech July 17, 2007, Obama promised Planned Parenthood that "Well, the first thing I'd do as president is, is sign the Freedom of Choice Act. [Applause.] That's the first thing that I'd do." Look it up, the video clip is on the internet.
I know many people are sick of the abortion issue. Sadly, I realize that many believe the money (programs, benefits, tax ‘credits’, whatever you want to call it) Obama has promised them is more important than the cause of life. Many quote the “seamless garment” approach to Catholic concern for those in need, and although this approach has been disproved, they still believe that socialism will help the poor. This also has been disproved but it sounds good.
The Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA) will use taxpayer money for the first time in our history to pay for abortions. It will also wipe out state decisions regarding parental notification and any other safeguards. That is what centralized government does, take power away from the states. It will also overturn the ban on partial-birth abortion, a disgusting and cruel procedure that all medical groups have affirmed as useless for the health of the mother. It’s just easier for the abortionist.
There is also grave reason to believe that Obama will dissolve all protection for abortion survivors as well. The U.S. Congress in a rare unanimous vote passed protection at the federal level for babies born alive after abortion, but Obama, still just a state senator at the time, worked pretty hard to prevent the same exact legislation in Illinois. Look it up. He voted against SB 1094, which gave completely born babies protection, many times. When presented to the full senate, only Obama spoke against the bill. He called these babies, who were being left to die in the dirty linen closets at hospitals, “temporarily alive outside the womb.” Not even anesthetics could be given to ease their pain. Although these babies are issued birth certificates, Obama stated they were not to be classified as persons since that would threaten abortion rights.
We don’t even allow dogs or pigs to die this way. Even NARAL and Planned Parenthood stayed neutral on this issue. And since Obama tended to vote ‘present’ much of the time to avoid controversy, his vocal opposition and voting on this issue is even more significant.
Obama says determining when life starts is above his pay grade, but he is comfortable making abortion now reach past birth and forcing it on the entire country.
We are now entering the world of infanticide, folks. Civilizations have done it before. But now the blood of the innocents will be on all of our hands. I would like to vote on other issues as well, but I believe, as did John Paul II and other Catholic leaders, that this issue is first. It is the right upon which all of our other rights stand. It would be a serious moral wrong to vote for Obama. The money he has promised you will be blood money. And we all know how well that spends. Ask Judas.
Please pray for our country. Please participate in a novena to St. Charles Borromeo (feast day November 4)to ask for his intercession on behalf of our country. I would like to be included in this blog and I think that we, as Catholics, should start telling our "Catholic" pro-choice politicians that saying you're Catholic doesn't necessarily mean you are Catholic.
I think we should ask Joe Biden's Bishop to ex communicate him from the Church, before the election!!!Here's his info:

Thanks for this website. Comforting to know there are other Catholics concerned about politicians misstating the doctrine of the Catholic Church especially in such grave matters as abortion.
Let's all pray fervently that this pro-choice ticket does not dictate abortion policy in the near future. Certainly Obama has pledged to sign the Freedom of Choice Act if elected, which will further ease access to abortions. No parental consent needed, partial birth abortion bans will be discarded, doctors currently refusing to perform abortions due to their religion will no longer be protected, and the government will be funding these procedures.
God Bless America if they take office.
Being a Catholic woman born and raised,I have also been in Catholic private schools my whole life. However, this whole rhetoric or more of an excuse about not voting for Obama and Biden exclusively based on the fact that they are not opposed to abortions sounds all to far radical from what we were taught from the Bible and many other holy works.I feel that God has spoken by giving man the gift of a mind. The mere fact that we were "created in God's own image",proves that God knew that this would happen no matter what.I often wonder why we still question His intentions for the human race.I know that we are a divided by this argument about abortion and so on.But are we not forgetting the actual teachings of Jesus and about acceptance of all types of views and opinions? Jesus had people disagree with him on every major point and yet he didn't condemn them to being unholy or not worthy of his friendship. He had his own disciples go against him on many matters, and yet He still loved and considered them to be His equal and cherished in the more important traits that they shared and the viewpoints that they held in common rather than dwell on the ones that they did not have in common.Jesus was always a great community organizer who taught tolerance and acceptance in a wonderful way and admitted that humans are great and wonderful yet tragic, flawed and complex creatures of God.We also know that Jesus also was not perfect. If you read the Bible and other Holy works in the Catholic Vatican library, you can see how many instances in where God Himself has allowed babies to die and even killed them for a variety of reasons.SO does that make God pro life or pro choice? The answer is neither. He has given man the same functions He Himself had and still has to let people live or die or according to changing circumstances in life and time as it goes on.We as humans will always have a free mind which God gave us and He wanted us to use.Has man become more tainted for it? of course! But has man also done great and wonderful things also and become a better person for it? Yes. That is the trade off that God knew was bound to happen eventually. The argument that there is purely good or evil is so out dated and wrong.God created man and as a result we do have choices and should be free as long as we follow the Ten Commandments not by what a certain person interprets them to be but as God intended. Now here is the real important thing.God only gave us guidelines and not directions in a specific way.It is true. There is no book of "how to be a human being"God gave us a mind and also a soul but more importantly, a conscience. We should not pass judgement upon those who we disagree with.God has given a mind to humans and of course by His own will. What we did with it letting there be a choice for women by allowing Roe V.Wade to happen.Remember how people in Catholic church are always stating how if someone in your family dies,or a soldier dies in a war,or how your fellow Americans every day are dying from starvation and disease? All of which we hear from The Bible as being God's Will?Well,i don't think that selective criticism of God's will is very Catholic or even Christian. Just stop and think and remember what Jesus and His teachings were about.Maybe then we can stop arguing and know that humans are truly a dichotomy created by God.Are we going to say that He messed up by giving us life?Or say that certain people that don't agree with a certain view are holy or unholy?I think that is God's call.I'll leave it all up to Him."Let he who cast the first stone..."
I am a Catholic and hopefully a repentant sinner so I come from a unique perspective. I've sinned gravely in my life - I've gone to confession and I believe that I am living in repentence.
I do not believe the Joe Biden cares a hoot about what we say or what his Bishop says.
Nancy Pelosi is worse.
Why won't the Catholic Churcha and these Bishops take a stand and Ex-communicate these PROTESTANTS. Look I attended the Episcopal Church for years as a fallen away Catholic and it helped bring me back the the Roman Catholic Faith.
I also believe in forgiveness and reconciliation. But when elected officials in the public eye agressively go against Church Doctrine - then they should PUBLICLY decide what they believe and the Bishops should have a backbone and EX COMMUNICATE them until they get in line.
Otherwise the Catholic Teaching on Abortion is ADMITTEDLY WRONG BY IT'W OWN HIERARCHY by letting these people off the hook - while demanding that we lower serf's just keep going to church giving money and fighting the fight alone.
I want to make a push to force the Bishops to decide - Do they want people who obey the rules or do they want open defiance?
I want this group to organize as well as the Obama Campaign did and contact every elected official and appointee that effects this CIVIL RIGHTS ISSUES of taking 45 million lives (and counting) through abortion.

Greetings to all: I am Jennifer, married and mother of eight children, two more in Heaven, so hearing what Sen. Biden has to say about his version of the teachings of Holy Mother Church appalls me, to say the least.
Please add my name to your Blog Roll!
St. Thomas More, Patron of Large Families, please pray for our nation!
Kudos for the blog. One of the most distressing things about this election has been the large numbers of "good" Catholics who support Obama/ Biden and abortion. Please include me in the blogroll,
and keep up the good work !
I was disturbed but not surprised to see Joe's bishop, Malooly, say he won't do anything about him receiving Communion despite Canon Law 915. If anyone can be described as one of those who "obstinately persist in manifest grave sin" it's Joe Biden with his unwavering promotion of child-killing. Thank God for Bishop Martino of Scranton who said he would deny him Communion and that he doesn't want anyone thinking he learned those values in his childhood diocese of Scranton. Les Femmes definitely represents Catholics against Joe Biden. http://lesfemmes-thetruth.blogspot.com
I'm against Joe Biden and I'm on the other side of the planet. How bad must this guy be?
Martin from Australia against treacherous Catholics like Biden.
Great work Bishop Martino!
Yes, I am a Catholic, who is against Joe Biden, and his false teachings about our Faith.
I'm a Catholic and a staunch Democrat. IMHO, this is religious intolerance at its finest. We should embrace people of difference, not gang up on them. *shakes head*
You can *shake your head* all you want, but the Truth is the Truth.
Backing abortion, etc., is grave sin. And to vote for such a person (who is "for" such things) is also grave sin.
There is nothing wrong with being Democrat, but a Catholic has serious obligations beyond politics.
Go back to class...you must have been absent that day.
I think it's time for the Vatican to slap American Catholics back to reality. Pope Benedict needs to excommunicate Fr. Jenkins, Nancy Pelosi, Joe Biden, John Kerry all for holding positions of authority in America, claiming to be Catholic and voting time and again on the side of pro abortion measures. That message to American Catholics would help the idiots among us who continue to vote for the party of death
Thanks for your efforts.
Imposition of Canon 915 as regards these Catholics in name only is long overdue. They work like Judas' against Christ's Church and Her mission to ensure the Right to Life is available to all of God's children - not just those fortunate enough to have escaped their mother's womb alive! Jesus let Judas make his choice, and then left him to live with the consequences; anything else is not Truth but wishful thinking.
And further I would ask, what about those who belong to the Party of Death and Depravity (known otherwise as Democrats) but purport to be pro-life, although members of the Pro-Death Party? They benefit from their associations with the party (Governor Bill Ritter of Colorado and others), yet get a pass because "personally" they actually oppose abortion. Hope God makes more out of than nonsense, for their benefit, than I have. Uncle Petee of Portland, OR
"Pope Benedict needs to excommunicate Fr. Jenkins, Nancy Pelosi, Joe Biden, John Kerry all for holding positions of authority in America, claiming to be Catholic and voting time and again on the side of pro abortion measures"
OMGosh, I would LOVE it if he did this!
And don't forget that prince of pro-aborts, Ted Kennedy! (and all of the rest of the clan, to boot!)
Add "Sincerely, An Angry Catholic" to your blogroll too. Indeed, politicians like Biden, Pelosi, and others like them are what make me mad in the first place (although in a righteous and Godly way -- not a hatred)! And having confessed publicly that I'm a moderate who's socially conservative and would favor the Dems weren't it for their sinful positions, I'm going against some of my own folks here! Again, thank you for having this blog, and make sure that you keep an eye on similar Catholic politicans who act like him!
