Vice President Joe Biden receives standing ovation after receiving communion

Two days before he became the next American Vice President, Sen. Joe Biden attended John F. Kennedy's own Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church for Mass, where parishioners gave the pro-abortion politician a standing ovation minutes after he received communion (LifeSiteNews January 20, 2009).

I am surprised he didn't shove his rosary beads down somebody's throat.

I almost removed your badge site from my sidebar, so are you guys going to be up and running from now on???

The challenge is: He's been Vice President Elect Non Entity for the last couple months. Not a peep about the old fool to react to.

I suppose to a great extent the Biden pick really emphasizes the extent to which Obama sees himself as a one man phenomena. Biden brings nothing to the ticket other than being old and white, and he's clearly not a contender a successor.

Carlos,

Thanks for commenting -- yes, what Darwin said.

I suppose the existence of this blog will depend on what degree Biden occupies the news and factors in on issues pertaining to Catholics.

(But even if you remove the badge, do check back -- you never know).

And we'll be covering the Obama administration at The American Catholic and Catholics in the Public Square.

Thank you Christopher, signed up for the latter, I was exiled/banned from the former due to the "vehemence" of some remarks I made regarding Senator, now President Obama, at the point in time...

Where is our Catholic leadership? I feel like we are sheep without a shepherd sometimes. How is it that so many people are democrats first and Catholics second? We had the FOCA postcard campaign yesterday in our parish and I saw many democrats sit with their arms crossed, refusing to sign the cards. It makes me so sad.

Glad to see the site is alive. I wrote an article on this CINO (Catholic-in-name-only) over on my blog that pretty much says it all. If he takes public position against the Magisterium, he should be quite formally and publicly excommunicated. Period.

Well at least the top gun has now expressed his disapproval and condemnation of Ms. Pelosi and VP Biden's heretical remarks via-a-vis abortion.

And those ignorant loons who applauded the Vice President after he received [a sacriligious] communion are part of the problem.

All that being said, our job is to practice our faith to the absolute best of our ability and avoid committing the same egregious errors these public figures seem to be so fond of making. I can only think that their greed for power and public notoriety is so great that it deadens the sounds of their conscience. And their parents failed at their job of seeing to it that their children received a good Catholic education!

What Biden brought to the ticket was life insurance for President Obama. As horrendous as his election has been, at least he is a better choice than his V.P., a man that the President seems to neither like nor respect.
