Joe Biden is One Sick Pro-Abort

(Hat tip: Creative Minority Report)

Details at "When Biden and Rudman Wept":
... Alas, with Casey v. Planned Parenthood, America had its answer, as Souter authorized the sanctity of Roe v. Wade.

As fate would have it, on that same day Senator Rudman and Senator Joe Biden bumped into each other at the train station, not in Washington, DC but in Wilmington, Delaware.

“At first, I didn’t see Joe; then I spotted him waving at me from far down the platform,” Rudman later recorded in his memoirs, Combat: Twelve Years in the U.S. Senate. “Joe had agonized over his vote for David, and I knew how thrilled he must be. We started running through the crowd toward each other, and when we met, we embraced, laughing and crying.”

An ecstatic Biden wept tears of joy, telling Rudman over and over: “You were right about him [Souter]! ... You were right!”

The two men were so jubilant, so giddy—practically dancing—that Rudman said onlookers thought they were crazy: “[B]ut we just kept laughing and yelling and hugging each other because sometimes, there are happy endings.”

It was sheer bliss: Roe v. Wade had been saved; it was alive. The two senators, liberal Democrat and liberal Republican, were so overcome that they sobbed. It was the most joyous moment...

***
And, as fate would have it, shepherding the next nominee, aside President Obama, will be a still grinning Joe Biden—now elevated to the vice presidency. Biden is poised to again ensure yet more decades of Roe v. Wade, this time openly, and at new levels that even pro-choicers would have never imagined—and with Republicans unable to stop him. Biden can thank roughly 50 million Christians, including his fellow Catholics, for that ability.

This is ridiculous, would you prefer that we address one injustice only to jeopardize measures addressing dozens of others? Roe v. Wade occurred during a conservative administration, was heard by a conservative court, and has survived multiple conservative administrations. What exactly do you hope to achieve by criticizing Democratic Vice President during a time when economic recovery is the main focus of the current administration?

Just as FDR's administration did not make any real attempt at backing anti-lynching legislation, the Obama administration will never make any strides towards turning Roe v. Wade. Even if they had any personal inclinations towards doing so they would never do it.

It's just too ridiculous that one could even consider this an issue that can be discussed. As abhorent as abortion may be, the current times just make addressing it trading lives rather than saving them.

mr. biden is a soul, lost in the bowels of materialism and relativism...like so many card carrying liberals...who care nothing for the plight of the most defenseless among us. We need to pray for his conversion and all others who sav their consciences by throwing a few coins on the plate each Sunday.

The comparison of abortion to lynching seems appropriate, but it is hardly to the FDR admin's (or their predecessors')credit that little was done to stop the latter. I doubt the current administration's occupation with all those "other injustices" will ultimately excuse their apparent fondness for the former, especially if their economic adventuring results (and there's some evidence it's already starting to happen) in an increase in abortions for economic reasons.

Biden's sheer hypocricy in his pretense of devout Catholicism and "personal opposition" is doubly galling when he is caught in such a moment as the one described here. How does the man get to sleep at night?

Baboo answered well and I'll just add in that it isn't zero-sum game. As if opposition to abortion means we ignore economic issues. But here's the rub: Joe Biden and his ilk are poster boys for the world-view that the ends justify the means. Meaning that if they are willing to support an evil in one area and excuse it under good intentions and special circumstances, then it is reasonable to assume they will do it in any given area. It is a philosophy that renders its adherents utterly untrustworthy.

Huh, and here I thought my opinion of Joe Biden couldn't sink any lower. Wrong.
